Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 1926 - 2022

23 September 2022

The Army Cadet Force prides itself on producing good young citizens, with no finer example to follow than Her Majesty The Queen.

As Patron of ACCT UK, we remember with fondness and pride the many times over the years of her reign that she spent with the Cadet Forces and the inspiration that HM The Queen gave to all cadets and adult volunteers.

Our President, Lieutenant General Sir Andrew Graham said “I join with all at ACCT UK in paying tribute to Her Majesty The Queen and giving thanks for her commitment to our charity. The Queen was the embodiment of public service and as our Patron the example she set inspires all who work in support of the Army Cadet Force.”

We look back at some of the Army Cadet Force memories of Queen Elizabeth, treasured items in the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK archives.

📸The black and white images shown below are from 1960 when The Queen and Prince Philip hosted the Centenary Parade in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

📸Our more recent images, also shown below, are from August 2019 when massed Cadet pipes and drums gave Her Majesty The Queen a private Beating Retreat at Balmoral Castle.

Rest in Peace, Your Majesty.
