Wiltshire ACF takes on the Cadet Challenge 2023 and raise over £2,000 for ACCT UK

20 September 2023

Sword Company of the Wiltshire Army Cadet Force have raised an incredible £2,102.83 for ACCT UK in support of the Cadet Challenge 2023! This amazing achievement came through a combination of ‘Detachment Silent Parade Nights’ and a lively ‘Company Summer Party,’ demonstrating the spirit and commitment of cadets, CFAVs, families, and friends.

Wanting to find an innovative way of raising funds for ACCT UK, Sword Company embraced the concept of ‘Silent Parade Nights.’ Leading up to their Annual Camp, their eight detachments each held a silent parade, where every cadet and adult volunteer had to remain silent throughout. Together raising an impressive total of £1,778 as of August 22, 2023.

To cap off their fundraising efforts, the company hosted a colourful ‘Summer Glow Bright Party’ just before returning to regular parade nights, adding a final £300 to their contribution. With this, Sword Company proudly announced a total of £2,102.83 raised for ACCT UK.

Sword Company have committed to continue supporting ACCT UK and have just set up a fundraising committee to decide on their next challenge! If you want to get involved in a fundraiser for ACCT UK contact fundraising@acctuk.org today.
