ACCT UK has placed new accident and third party liability insurance with a start date of 30 Sep 22. The new policy (placed with Starr International) has exactly the same benefits as before and covers adult volunteers (and cadets) from the ACF and CCF, for injuries, and third party liabilities, sustained during all authorised cadet activities, wherever they are taking place.
Adult volunteers in the ACF will be insured through their County or Bn HQ in the usual way. The cost will be £5.32p per head for the year 1 Oct 22-30 Sep 23. Cadets are insured for £1.71p per year. Any questions on the scheme should be addressed to Richard.quicke@acctuk.org
Counties or schools intending to mount cadet expeditions abroad should consult Richard Quicke well in advance to obtain separate travel insurance. Â The latter is a comprehensive policy covering all authorised cadet activities.
