Challenge Fundraising is a very new area for ACCT UK and we’re so excited to kick off some with some epic events in 2023. We know the Army Cadet Force love a good challenge, now finally you have the chance to raise money for your own charity!
We have charity places for 🚴🏽Ride London 2023 in May 20234.
💰The minimum fundraising target will be £400.
We will support you to meet and hopefully exceed this target and, of course, you will be sporting our fabulous new ACCT UK cycling jersey. 📧 For more information on the event or to request your place please email fundraising@acctuk.org using Ride London as the subject line.
Participants must be 16 years or older to take part.
The Great Runs are a series of brilliantly organized 5K’s, 10K’s, 10 mile and Half Marathons across the country at various times in the year.
The Great North Run is the flagship event and has a ballot to enter. Places in other great runs across the country are available to book.

Whether you’re a experienced athlete or newbie the marathon is the ultimate challenge when it comes to running. Do you have what it takes? Taking on a marathon for charity means you’re serious about giving back. You may also add an important tick to your bucket list while you’re at it!

Check the age minimum for participants, some events include shorter distances that can be suitable for ages 14 years and up. Marathons require entrants to be at least 18 years of age.
For someone who’s afraid of heights, there’s no better challenge than jumping out of a plane! Adrenaline sports are a great way to test your own personal limits and encourage others to support your charity of choice.
🪂Brave your very first skydive to raise funds for cadets! There are many options to choose from. Check out UK Sky Diving Adventures .
🧗🏽♂️Use your cadet adventure training skills to scale an iconic landmark. Raise funds with a 100 metre descent down the side of Portsmouth’s iconic landmark, Spinnaker Tower. For those up for an even greater challenge, why not take on London’s Tallest Sculpture, 262 feet above the city.

Now for a list of challenges that are certainly not for the faint hearted! You would need to put in some long hours training to take on an ultra but it will surely be an experience to remember for a lifetime.
You could either fundraise for ACCT UK with no sponsorship target or if you are willing to commit to a minimum fundraising amount then we would refund your registration fee once the target is reached.
On the date of the Event you must be at least 18 years old to participate within the ‘full’ challenge (~100km), at least 16 for a ‘half’ challenge (~50km), at least 14 for a ‘quarter’ challenge (~25km), and for lesser distances as stated on the Event Website. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Organiser. Those aged 16 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult, who also needs to be a participant.

There are a wide range of events across the UK and also internationally that cater to varied interests and also fitness levels. There is the option to set your fundraising target higher and have it cover the cost of your trip. If you’re able to pay the cost of your trip upfront, 100% of the funds raised for your trip will be donated to ACCT UK.
