HM King Charles III becomes ACCT UK Patron

17 July 2024

It is with great honour that we announce that His Majesty King Charles III has become the new Patron of ACCT UK. We are deeply proud of our longstanding Royal association. His Majesty succeeds Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as our patron, who graciously supported us throughout her remarkable reign.

As the charity dedicated to supporting the Army Cadet Force and young people across the UK, we are immensely grateful to His Majesty for continuing to recognise and endorse our vital work. With his patronage, we look forward to expanding our initiatives, providing greater opportunities and support to young individuals, and fostering positive change in communities throughout the UK. This aligns with our commitment to making a meaningful impact on society.

Royal patronage highlights the essential work of organisations like ours, allowing our achievements and contributions to be more widely recognised and promoted. Among over 800 organisations supported by Their Majesties and Members of The Royal Family, King Charles III retains patronages focusing on community support, conservation, and culture, reflecting his longstanding commitment to these causes.

“I know that I speak for every one of those whom we support today, and for the many thousands whom we have supported down the years, that the encouragement for and interest of members of the Royal Family in the cadets – HRH Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh was Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Cadet Force for many years – is hugely valued and appreciated. I am confident that we can repay that encouragement and interest in the years ahead.” -Lieutenant General Sir Andrew Graham Bt CB CBE – ACCT UK President.”
